Networked Trucks

Truck Data Management (TDM) means that a unit in the truck sends data via GPRS, WLAN or Bluetooth. Operators can see when the battery for an electric forklift truck needs to be charged or when servicing is next scheduled. Service technicians can determine what needs to be repaired on a faulty forklift truck before they even arrive and can put the appropriate spare parts to use immediately.

If all forklifts are equipped with TDM technology, the customer always has an overview of the fleet of vehicles. Although networking trucks is a relatively new trend, its importance is increasing significantly. Equipment features like TDM are becoming an important competitive advantage.
